What is it? Early Head Start is a program that promotes healthy pregnancies and early education for infants and children between ages six weeks and three years. What do I get? Educational childcare similar to Head Start between the hours of 8:00 am to 2:30 pm. There is also an extended childcare option that runs from 6:30 am – 6:30 pm. Pregnant women may also get prenatal care, like help connecting to WIC (Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children). How long do I get it? Early Head Start runs year-round. |
