What is it? Georgia Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) is an education program for four-year-olds. The program is at public and private schools and other childcare and educational centers. Five-year-olds can also get Pre-K if they have late birthdays or developmental delays. What do I get? Your children are cared for and participate in educational activities that prepare them for success in school. How long do I get it? Georgia Pre-K provides education for 6.5-hour days, five days per week (180 days per year). The program follows the public school calendar year (September to June). |
