You can apply for Right from the Start Medicaid in three ways:
- Apply online. This application allows you to apply for both PeachCare for Kids and for Right from the Start Medicaid. Once you submit your application, they'll tell you which program your children qualify for. This is the fastest way to apply.
- Call or go to your county Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) office to apply. DFCS can take your application or help you find other places to apply such as schools, hospitals or community centers.
- Call the Right from the Start Medicaid outreach project at
(800) 809-7276 to find places to apply that have early morning, evening and weekend hours.
After you complete an application, you’ll have to interview with a caseworker at the Medicaid office.
You’ll find out if you’ll get Right from the Start Medicaid within 45 days after you apply.
